Scan and add a card

Capture a card, review the match, and find it in the collection.

1. Check the camera

Settings → Camera shows Default Camera and whether it is Connected. A Continuity Camera is listed as the iPhone or iPad’s own name, then “ — Continuity Camera”.

Mac

Choose the Mac camera, USB camera, or Continuity Camera used for scanning.

2. Check recognition

Scanner & Recognition shows index progress and which matchers are on.

3. Capture and review

Use Camera and Capture Now, or drop PNG, JPEG, or HEIC files. Confirm the catalog card from the queue.

Mac

Capture a card or import an image, then review the catalog match before adding it.

iPhone

The Scan tab starts with the camera or an existing photo.

4. Find the card

Confirmed cards are owned collection items.

Mac

Search, filter, and page through owned cards without loading the entire collection at once.

iPhone

The iPhone collection is a searchable grid. Opening a card goes to Card Details.
