FAQ

Does the app have a light appearance?

Not in this version. Settings → General sets Appearance to Dark and says light mode is not available yet.

Does iCloud sync the card catalog?

No. Cloud Sync says the Pokémon catalog stays on the device. iCloud carries the personal collection: cards you own, storage locations, wishlist, tracked sets, decks, and edit activity. Catalog artwork, pricing history, recognition data, and scan originals stay on the device.

Do Added This Week and Added This Month count cards that arrived by sync?

They sum quantity from genuine collection activity during the current calendar week or month: cards added, quantity increases, imports, and restores. Each event keeps its original time, including when that activity synchronizes to another device. Synchronizing a collection record that already exists does not create another addition, and applying the same activity again does not count it twice. A quantity added on one device and a quantity added on another are included together once both devices have synchronized.

How is iPhone sync different from iCloud?

iPhone Catalog shares the Pokémon catalog, and can sync the personal collection, with a trusted device on the local network. That collection sync does not require iCloud and is the path that copies collection photos. Cloud Sync uses the private iCloud database and does not replace the catalog.

Which cameras can scan a card?

On a Mac: a built-in camera, a USB camera, or Continuity Camera from an iPhone or iPad. The menu shows the device’s real name. Continuity Camera entries add “ — Continuity Camera”. Image files (PNG, JPEG, HEIC) work without a camera. iPhone and iPad use the back camera or Choose Photo. There is no in-app network camera.

What does Restore do to the current collection?

Backup & Restore says restoring replaces the collection currently stored on this device.

Where do trade and sale lists come from?

Mark For Trade or For Sale on Card Details, then use Share Trade List or Share Sale List on Import / Export. There is no separate trade workbench in the captured app.

Why does Pricing show missing cards?

The Priced, Missing, and All switch limits the table. Refresh Missing Prices is the header action for cards without a price.

What is the visual index?

Scanner & Recognition shows Visual Index Progress and Recognition Ready. Rebuild Visual Index is a separate button from Clear Recognition Cache.
